A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a child was found dead at a house in Swansea.
The child was found dead at a home on Cwm Du Close, Gendros, Swansea The child, whose name and gender have not been confirmed by officials, was found at a property on Cwm Du Close at 8:30pm yesterday. A woman, 41, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Police say the woman and child ‘lived together’. No one else is being sought in connection to the child’s death. She remains in custody in Bridgend, a town about 20 miles east of Swansea, as of this morning.
‘Detectives are working to establish the circumstances of the child’s death and there will be an increased police presence in the area to offer reassurance to local residents. ‘Speculation on social media is unhelpful and will cause distress to those affected by this incident at an already difficult time.’ Cwm Du Close is a small residential road in the Gendros suburb of Swansea.
