BREAKING: Woman arrested on suspicion of murdering boy, 10
A woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 10-year-old boy was found dead in West London.
She walked into a police station in the early hours of Sunday to speak to officers and a short while later the boy was found at a home in Cumberland Park, Acton. Scotland Yard said officers believe they know the identity of the boy, who was known to the woman. Next of kin have been informed, it added.
No-one else is being sought in connection with the death and a murder investigation has been launched.Detectives from Specialist Crime are investigating and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is being asked to call police on 020 8721 4205.
