A woman has died and two children have been rushed to hospital after a house fire in Orange. 7NEWS

The house on Pimpala Place in the town of Orange in the state’s west was engulfed in flames when emergency services arrived at about 5.45am on Saturday.

A man, woman and two children, all from the same family, were inside the home when the blaze started.The man suffered minor burns when he attempted to re-enter the building, police said. Officers from Fire and Rescue NSW were able to rescue two children, who they said were taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.They later located a woman, in the front room, but she was unable to be revived.“A crime scene has been established. Specialist fire investigators and officers will enter the building when it is deemed safe,” a police spokesperson said.
