Natalie Forrest had gone to her local pharmacy to pick up antibiotics after suffering from a sore throat, high temperature and urine infection for a week.
A nursery teacher was diagnosed with leukaemia after a pharmacist who battled the disease spotted her symptoms.
Natalie's doctor sent her to University Hospital Wishaw where tests found she had abnormal blood cells. "The plan was for her to get three rounds before the specialists could decide if she needed a stem cell transplant. One week later her health took a turn for the worst and Natalie went into cardiac arrest seven times over the course of one day.
