Clair Honeywood, a 45-year-old healthcare worker, initially attributed her stomach pain to IBS. However, after her condition worsened, doctors discovered a C-shaped tumor in her pancreas. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given a grim prognosis of 18 months to live. Despite the difficult news, Clair remains optimistic, driven by her two children and determined to make the most of her remaining time. Her community rallied around her, raising funds to help her fulfill her dream of marrying her long-term partner.
A woman who initially dismissed her stomach pain as IBS symptoms was left stunned when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given just 18 months to live. Clair Honeywood, who worked in the A&E department in King's Lynn, Norfolk, initially believed the pain was related to IBS.
"I am only 45 and you don't expect to go through this at this age. There is still hope but at the moment I am just focusing on the three months in chemotherapy. "It is not normal for someone my age to get this cancer - it is a silent cancer too it is really tricky. When you don't know what's happening your mind just goes to some dark places."
