Nadine Mansfield traded the stress of corporate marketing for the joy of gardening, ultimately winning a prestigious Royal Horticultural Society medal for her designs.
A 47-year-old woman quit her high-paying corporate job to work at a garden centre for minimum wage. Nadine Mansfield, who had spent 25 years in marketing for major companies like Manchester United and Manchester Airport, decided to prioritize her well-being and passion for gardening after the birth of her son.
She started working at her local Notcutts garden centre and enrolled in an RHS diploma in horticulture, ultimately launching her own garden design business, Nadine Mansfield Garden Design. Four years later, Nadine has achieved a significant milestone by winning her first prestigious Royal Horticultural Society medal for a garden she designed at the RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park. She credits her change in career to her love for gardening, which blossomed after moving to a new house with a garden that she transformed into a stunning space.
