A woman accused of minding a bag of Connor Chapman’s clothes after Elle Edwards’ murder, factory reset her phone after a number of calls with him. Danielle Dowdall allegedly watched the “Santa sack” of clothes and jewellery for a number of days after Chapman killed Ms Edwards when he opened fire with a Skorpion sub-machine gun outside the Lighthouse pub Wallasey on Christmas Eve 2022.
footage played to the jury showed Owen at the pub when Chapman arrived to pick the car up and then on Chapman’s road to collect it back, the prosecution said. The court heard on Tuesday, October 8, that Owen told police in his interview that Chapman, who he knew as Curly, was his drug dealer and on the night Chapman used his car Owen had asked him to drive it home for him before putting the keys through the letterbox. Owen said Chapman had done this before, Ms Appleton said.
