Mercy crews scrambled to the scene in Edinburgh after the alarm was raised at around 12.40pm on Tuesday.
It's understood a woman fell close to Dunsapie Loch at Queen's Drive.
Another picture showed the rope rescue team on the side of the hill trying to reach the woman, who found herself in trouble while out at the beauty spot. The Scottish Fire Service confirmed that they were in attendance with one appliance and a rope rescue team on site.
