The incident happened around 2.15pm on Friday, 31 May, on Waggon Road, near to the junction with Peebles Street and involved a blue mobility scooter and a blue BMW 5 series car.
A woman riding a mobility scooter is fighting for her life after being involved in a road traffic accident in Ayr .
A 65-year-old woman, the mobility scooter user, was taken to Crosshouse Hospital where her condition is described as "critical." The car driver was not injured.
