The first person to be hit in the Glasgow bin lorry tragedy a decade ago revisits the site to pay tribute every year.
The retail worker suffered a brain injury and had to have a metal plate inserted in her face after council worker Harry Clarke lost control of the lorry in the city centre.Elaine, from Kilmarnock, said: “I was working just on the corner of Royal Exchange Square at the time in a private jewellers and had taken my lunch later than normal.“That decision changed my life. The next thing I remember was waking up in hospital with the doctor telling me I was the luckiest person they’d ever seen.
