The woman was hit by the car on Station Road, near Crossgates train station, at about 9.20am today . The road has been closed between Station View and Knightsway.spokesperson said: "Police are in attendance at Station Road, Crossgates after being called to reports of a road traffic collision at 9.20am this morning.
"The collision involved a car and a female pedestrian. The pedestrian has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car stopped at the scene. "Station Road has been closed between the junctions with Station View and Knightsway.
