Police have launched a murder investigation after they were called to the flat on Duckett Street, Mile End, at 01.17am this morning.
Police guard a cordon outside a residential block of flats in Mile End, east London A woman in her 30s has been stabbed to death in a flat in east London. Ambulance crews were also called to the scene but the woman sadly died in the flat. Her next of kin have been informed and continue to be supported by specially trained officers. A 32-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man, who both appear to be known to the victim, have been arrested and remain in police custody.
At this time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident. Police were called at approximately 01.17am to reports of a woman suffering stab injuries ‘Officers will continue to carry out vital work at the location and I would ask residents to remain patient while we do this. I would also ask if anyone saw anything or has information that could assist us then please make contact.
