A woman has explained how she immediately slashed £300 off her car insurance by buying a simple £10 gadget in Robert Dyas. The purse-friendly gadget can also be found on a budget in stores like Argos and B&Q.

On Facebook, people warned of the importance of keeping your dash cam on at all times to make sure your insurance remains valid. Càrl Blàkemôre concurred: "Just ensure its switched on and working at all times, as your dashcam now constitutes a term of your insurance being valid.
