A 36-year-old woman was killed when her Ford KA collided with a lorry on the A75 near Eastriggs. The A75 has been closed for most of the day as police investigate the incident.
The 36-year-old was driving a Ford KA when it collided with a lorry on the A75 near Eastriggs at around 9.30am on Wednesday morning.The A75 has been closed for most of the day and is likely to remain shut for some time while police carry out their investigation.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area, with motorists being told to follow a diversion on the B721. Sergeant Colin Ramage said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died at this difficult time. Officers will be supporting them through the investigation. "Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, and who has not already spoken to officers, to get in touch.
"I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in this area around that time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist us to contact us."Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting reference 0789 of November 27.
