Her whole family helps out with the business, which Ellie explained is a real 'team effort'
A woman has launched a new bridal boutique from her home on the Nottinghamshire border after wanting to give brides a more private and relaxed way to shop. Ellie Wise, of Bawtry, opened A Wise Bride at the start of April and tries to keep around 100 bridal dresses in stock at all times.
After leaving her dream business to work in recruitment for the NHS, Ellie decided earlier this year to relaunch her business. The mum of two explained that there was a shop space available in the local area which she thought would make a lovely wedding dress boutique, but felt she couldn't afford it, and described the idea as her "little daydream."
"Now I was being made redundant I was looking at my office and the snug which we don't use, thinking why don't I set up from home." Ellie explained that in addition to the dresses, with there only being one of each, she also sells accessories such as veils and jewellery, and there is also a collection of flower girl dresses.
