Kate and Steve Kennedy, 30 and 45, fell in love with campervanning after their first driving holiday.
A woman who was denied her annual leave request decided to quit her job and purchased a £25k campervan to live and work completely off grid while exploring the globe.
Fast forward six years, they have toured Turkey, Greece, Italy and Slovenia, and relish the freedom of living life on their own terms, often beginning work at 4am and setting their own schedules. Kate shared: "Ever since I was little, I hated the idea of doing work full-time and only taking a couple of weeks a year to travel."
"I saw myself stuck in a dull office job until I hit 60 - then retiring and spending the last few years of my life ticking off everything I'd wanted to see since my twenties. That wasn't what I wanted. I wanted to live my life in the present. Steve, the founder of Roamer Batteries, shared: "We couldn't wait - we went straight to Inverness and bought our first campervan for £5,000.
He further added, "We'd do six-to-eight weeks at a time, and the only thing we'd need to pay for is food, leisure - and the occasional ferry ride."
