A woman was pulled from a smoking wreck after a horror car crash in Edinburgh. The female driver became unwell behind the wheel, causing the car to become airborne during the collision. A passerby used a shard of metal to smash the windscreen and free the woman, injuring himself in the process.
The devastating aftermath of a horror car crash which saw a woman pulled from the smoking wreck has been caught on camera.
We previously told how hero passerby Keith Bradley raced to the woman’s aid as the vehicle filled with smoke. The quick-thinking 59-year-old used a shard of metal from damaged railings to smash the windscreen in a bid to free the woman - slicing his hands open in the process. "Either you're there at the right time or the wrong time. What was surprising to me was the fact that everyone was just standing watching and the doctors said it was quite surprising I did what I did.
"The adrenaline just kicked in. Once I prised the windscreen off I was getting a bit dizzy because of the fumes so a few other people came over and reached in to get the woman out.
