Emma McMillan was at a memorial for her late dad, former EKFC coach Robert McMillan, on Saturday night, November 4, when a neighbour called to say her block of flats was ablaze.
An East Kilbride woman has shared the panicked moment she found out about a deliberate fire impacting her flat.

I was worried about my dog being trapped in the flat."Firefighters stopped anyone going in and out of the street and all my neighbours were asked to go onto their verandas and put towels under the doors.
Praising the "amazing" firefighters who saved her home, Emma said: "My neighbour said she was still on the phone to 999 when she heard the sirens coming.
