A woman in her 40s suffered serious injuries after a shooting at the Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, Kent, on Friday evening. Police are searching for a man known to the victim who fled the scene.

A woman has sustained serious injuries following a reported shooting at a pub on Valentine's Day . Witnesses reported hearing a helicopter overhead and observed a large police cordon being erected as officers initiated a manhunt to apprehend the suspect. Kent Police responded to reports of a 'disturbance' at the Three Horseshoes pub in Knockholt, Sevenoaks, around 7pm on Friday. The victim was discovered seriously injured at the scene.

According to reports from the Mirror, police are currently searching for a man, believed to be known to her, who fled the area. A patron who was present at the Three Horseshoes during the incident told Kent Online that a shooting had occurred, while police continue their investigation. A blue forensics tent was positioned outside the pub, and local residents were directed back into their homes as forensics officers commenced their investigation.A spokesperson for the Kent Police stated: 'Kent Police was called at 7.02pm to a report of a disturbance at the Three Horseshoes pub in Main Road, Knockholt. Officers attended the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service where a woman in her 40s had suffered serious injuries. 'The suspect, a man who is believed to be known to the victim, left the area and is currently outstanding. Enquiries to locate him and to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.' An individual who frequents the pub, Emma, expressed her shock on social media, stating: 'Bloody crazy, we were there for 5 hours today for my Grandad's wake today. Poor woman!' Following the incident, the pub issued a statement on social media, announcing its closure for the day: 'The Three Horseshoes will be CLOSED today Saturday 15th February following a tragic incident outside the pub last night, sorry for any inconvenience. Hopefully we will be open on Sunday as usual x thank you'
