Police are appealing for witnesses
A woman has been sexually assaulted on a path in a village near Grantham . Officers are appealing for anyone to come forward following a report the victim was assaulted in Bottesford this morning .
The incident was reported to have happened on a path near Winter Beck, off Belvoir Road, just after 11.20am. The suspect left the area prior to police arriving. No arrests have been made at this time and enquiries are continuing. Detective Inspector Jenny Tattersall said: “The investigation is in its early stages and I’d ask anyone who was in on the footpath by Winter Beck which runs between Barkestone Lane and Belvoir Road this morning before midday to get in touch.
“Did you see anyone acting in a manner that seemed unusual, suspicious or caught your attention?
