Two women broke into a neighbour's flat and poured bleach over her before repeatedly slashing her to the face and body with a knife.
Llewelyn and Peters-Morgan - who had denied carrying out the sickening attack in Ystradgynlais in the Swansea Valley, each effectively blaming the other - were convicted at the trial. A judge described what the women did as "truly disturbing" and as a "punishment beating". The court heard the alarm was raised by a neighbour who heard screams coming from the flat and then saw the woman running outside still wearing her pyjamas. The victim would later describe how she was slipping on a mixture of bleach and her own blood as she tried to flee the flat.
Teresa Dilys Morgan-Peters, aged 45, of Dolfain, Ystradgynlais, Swansea Valley, and 43-year-old Kathryn Llewellyn, of Golwg y Mynydd, Godre'rgraig, Swansea Valley, had both previously been convicted of burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, inflicting grievous bodily harm intent, and possession of a bladed article - Llewellyn the knife used in the attack and Morgan-Peters a lock knife found in her car during the course of the police investigation and unrelated to the attack -...
