A woman was taken to hospital after being rescued from a car by fire crews using cutting equipment, it has been confirmed.
Police, ambulance and two fire engines were scrambled to Gains Park Way, in Shrewsbury to reports of a collision with a person trapped at 1.29pm on Tuesday.
"Crews used Holmatro cutting equipment to release person who was trapped in the car." The fire service stop message was received at 2.05pm. "An ambulance and paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered a car and a van had been involved in a collision.
