New centenarian credits long life to 'eating chocolate biscuits'
A former seamstress has celebrated her 100th birthday...and believes eating chocolate biscuits is the secret to her long life.
She also made a special visit to her former family home in the village of Eaglesham, where she was born on October 10, 1923. Apart from spending a short spell living in Canada with her husband, Anne has always loved living in the Scottish countryside and enjoying village life. Anne celebrated her big day with her nieces Dorothy and Jean, as well as friends, residents and staff at Newton House Care Home, where the chef laid on a delicious celebratory buffet dinner.
