🔴 Women terrified to go out alone criticise police over secrecy surrounding Nicola Bulley case
shortly after dropping her two young children at their primary school in the village of St Michael’s on Wyre, near Preston, Lancashire, and taking her Springer spaniel Willow for a walk along the nearby river last Friday morning.
“I just feel so sorry for her family. Somebody says goodbye in the morning and you just don’t expect they don’t come back.” In an update on Thursday, Superintendent Sally Riley said: “I appreciate that there are unanswered questions about what has happened to Nicola, but I would urge people not to speculate or spread false rumours.
“There was no sign of a slip or falling in so our thought was ‘has somebody got her?’ I asked the Sergeant from Fleetwood a few days ago, ‘is there any chance of her being taken’ and she said ‘I don’t think that’s the case’,” Mr Bulley told theHe added that his grandchildren, aged nine and six, have been asking “when is mummy coming home?”.the family are “going round in circles” trying to work out what could have happened.
It is understood the dog walker recognised Ms Bulley from her phone’s screensaver and alerted the primary school who called her partner Paul Ansell at their home in nearby Inskip.A potential witness being sought by Lancashire Police following the mother-of-two’s disappearance has been identified, officers said.
