Pregnant women who drink fluoride-treated water may have children with lower IQs - but only if they give birth to boys
Researchers measured fluoride samples found in a mother's urine and conducted IQ tests in children between the ages of 3 and 4. For every increase of 1 milligram per liter of fluoride in a mother's urine sample, children scored an average of 3.7-points lower on IQ tests. Boys scored 4.
