The Wonder Man cast is growing, with Byron Bowers set to join the ensemble of the upcoming Disney+ series.
Byron Bowers at the"Lady in the Lake" New York premiere held at the Museum of Arts and Design on July 11, 2024 in New York, New York. Bowers has appeared in a variety of high-profile projects recently, including having a role in 2022’s Kimi and Irma Vep, 2023’s Swarm, and the upcoming Lady in the Lake. The comedian has also appeared on The Eric Andre Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and countless other talk shows for his comedic work.
The Wonder Man series is being developed by Destin Daniel Cretton and writer-producer Andrew Guest , with Guest serving as the head writer and Cretton executive producing and directing some episodes. The project will be a part of Cretton’s overall deal with the studio. In addition to Cretton, The Photograph filmmaker Stella Meghie will also be directing multiple episodes.The Disney+ series will be led by Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams/Wonder Man.
In the late 1970s, Wonder Man was turned into a hero and eventually ended up joining the Avengers throughout various iterations of the team.
