18-year-old fast bowler Jack Home has received his first call-up to the England under-19 squad for a tour of South Africa. Home's impressive performances for Worcestershire in 2024, including 16 wickets in the One Day Cup, have earned him this recognition.
Jack Home says getting called up for England under-19s tour of South Africa is the 'icing on the cake' after his breakthrough year.The 18-year-old fast bowler, who went to Shrewsbury School and plays for Shifnal in the Birmingham League, burst onto the scene in 2024, making his debut for Worcestershire in all three formats.
Home said:"To get called up by England under-19s for the first time is the icing on the cake of a special period for me. “I know I’ve still got so much to learn, and the Young Lions will be the next part of that learning curve, and hopefully I can then bring that back to Worcestershire and continue to develop.”
