More than 200 competitors are cracking conkers at the world championships in Oundle.
Thousands of people have gathered to watch horse chestnut experts battle it out at the World Conker Championships.This year 256 keen competitors have registered, with the event regularly attracting fans from overseas.
The championship, which raises money for charities, culminates with the crowning of winners dubbed the conker king and queen.Uh-oh... someone's not sticking to the rules The rules of the game are strict and state that conkers cannot be tampered with or reused, and there must be at least 20cm of lace between knuckle and nut.
