Luke Littler may not be in action at Ally Pally until Saturday. But the kid is never far from the news or the lips of the fans here at the Palace. The 17-year-old sensation isn’t just in contention for the Paddy Power World Darts Championship, but he’s also a massive runner in the voting for Sports Personality of the Year. Bookies William Hill reckon Littler has a huge chance of winning it on Tuesday night.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “While Keely Hodgkinson remains a strong odds-on favourite at 2/7 to be named BBC Sports Personality of the Year tomorrow night, the one we really fear in the market is Luke Littler.
