People living near a city park have been left feeling 'worried' and on edge after a serious sexual assault. The victim was assaulted in Victoria Park, in Bath Street, on the St Ann's and Sneinton border, at about 3am on Saturday .
People who live near the park said they awoke to the sight of the police on Saturday morning, and that news of the incident had left them feeling uneasy. Grace Quinn, who has lived in the area for seven years, said: "It does worry me a bit."As I walked through this park last night at about 2am I saw nothing. Then when I walked through here at 10.30am the cordon was there."
Officers say they are particularly keen to speak with two people – a man and a woman – who are believed to have seen what happened. Detective Sergeant Barry Haines, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working to understand what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident and are currently pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.
