The Red Devils haven't finished in the bottom half since placing 13th in 1990, a shortfall that was, at the time, compensated by Sir Alex Ferguson's FA Cup triumph that season. However, the club will be hoping a fresh pair of eyes from Amorim will provide the inspiration they need to prove the projection wrong.
More than a decade after Sergio Aguero's legendary injury-time winner against QPR, which secured City's inaugural Premier League title, Guardiola's side are slated to clinch another crown via goal difference. Both City and Arsenal are foreseen to end the season on 95 points apiece, but the former are predicted to retain the trophy with nine more goals across the campaign.
