WWE has announced plans to air SmackDown live at The O2 arena in London on the eve of Money In The Bank 2023.
The company will hold the historic event at primetime for fans in the UK, marking the first time ever the show has aired live in such a timeslot on BT Sport.
Typically, fans have to wait until 1am on Friday night/Saturday morning to catch SmackDown live, but this will be a rare chance to see all the action live on a Friday evening. In a statement last month, Dan Ventrelle, EVP, Talent at WWE, said: ‘The O2 is one of the world’s premier venues and the perfect home for Money In The Bank. We are excited to bring one of our “Big 5” events to the UK and look forward to welcoming the WWE Universe toAnd Christian D’Acuña, Senior Programming Director at The O2, added: ‘We are honoured to be hosting the first ever Money In The Bank event taking place in the UK here at The O2.
