Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Bishop is one of the most badass mutant heroes in the history of X-Men. Originating as an addition to the hardcore ‘90s era of X-Men canon, Bishop perfectly embodies the style and tone of that period in comic book history. However, that’s not to say Bishop was unable to adapt with the times, as the character quickly evolved from an exciting new addition to an iconic X-Man in his own right.
9 “Bishop’s Crossing”: Bishop’s Arrival in the Past, & Subsequent Inclusion in the X-Men Uncanny X-Men #282 by John Byrne and Whilce Portacio Close As an established X.S.E. agent, Bishop and two other officers chase a group of criminals through a temporal wormhole to the past, hellbent on capturing them even though they knew there’d be no way to return home.
7 Bishop Saved the X-Men from Onslaught Onslaught: X-Men #1 by Scott Lobdell, Mark Waid, Adam Kubert, and Dan Green Close When Charles Xavier revealed himself to be the villainous Onslaught, he unleashed all his psionic energy upon the X-Men, aiming to kill them quickly before taking on the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for control over the planet.
5 Bishop Sided with Iron Man During Civil War Civil War #6 by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven Civil War was a conflict between superheroes/villains who were either pro-superhuman registration or against it. Since Civil War takes place after Scarlet Witch’s decimation of mutantkind, the X-Men remained neutral in the conflict, fearing they’d lose the few mutant heroes that retained their powers following M-Day.
