Microsoft's latest financials reveal that Xbox gaming revenue is up by 9% YOY, and Starfield set a new Xbox Game Pass record for most subscriptions in one day.
During the earnings call for Microsoft's FY24 Q1 report, which shows that Xbox gaming revenue is up by 9% year-on-year, the company's CEO Satya Nadella revealed that the launch of Starfield set a new record for the most Xbox Game Pass subscriptions added in a single day. Nadella didn't share just how many subscriptions were made, but did say that more than 11 million players have played Starfield to date, and almost half of the total played hours have been logged on PC.
During the same call, Nadella said that Microsoft is 'delighted to close our acquisition of Activision Blizzard King,' and that the company is looking forward to one of its strongest first-party lineups ever during the holidays, thanks to games like Forza Motorsport and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III.
