Sheffield Wednesday sack boss Xisco Munoz after he fails to win any of his 10 Championship games in charge.
Sheffield Wednesday have sacked boss Xisco Munoz after he failed to win any of his 10 Championship games in charge.
However, Munoz picked up just two points as Owls manager as the club made its worst ever start to a season.Munoz had guided Watford to promotion to the Premier League in 2020-21, his only previous spell managing in England. A 0-0 draw with Yorkshire rivals Leeds got them on the board, but their only other point came in a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough on 19 September.
Bad chairman. Awful finances. Finicky bad fans , poor squad, best players are all ageing, so what’s a new manager going to be able to do?Not a Wednesday supporter but in reality who would want to take over as manager there. They are in a shambolic state the owner has already said he's not going to put more money into the club so going to have no backing for transfers. Best you can hope for is a player manager and let's be honest that very rarely turns out to be a positive either.
