Yes, Brad Pitt Writes His Own Speeches Oscars
Brad Pitt has been killing it this awards season. And tonight was no different. For his role as stuntman Cliff Booth inthe Oscars
. What with winning the same award at the BAFTAs, the SAG Awards and the Golden Globes - he's had to write a lot of speeches. And they've been hilarious. At the SAG Awards, Brad joked about his Tinder profile, saying it was difficult to play a guy 'who gets high, takes his shirt off, and doesn't get on with his wife'. At the BAFTAs, even thoughas he couldn't attend due to a last minute 'family obligation', he still managed to joke about Brexit and Megxit. And tonight, during his 45-second speech, Brad decided to pay homage to his co-star Leo DiCaprio.
But, while we've all laughed, there's been a lot of speculation as to whether Brad is actually writing his speeches. However, the actor is here to dispel those rumours. Tonight, when asked if he used a speechwriter this award season, Brad Pitt told reporters: 'Historically I’ve always been really tentative about speeches, they make me nervous, so this round I figured if we’re gonna do this I’m gonna put some real work into it and try to get comfortable - and this is a result of that. I definitely write ‘em.
