The Queen O't'owd Thatch is in South Milford, Selby, but has a Leeds postcode. It recently won The Observer's Best Sunday Lunch, in the Observer Food Monthly awards. In 2013, the venue was transformed from a traditional inn into modern and successful restaurant and bar, serving traditional British dishes with a fine dining edge.
The Sunday lunch menu includes a range of popular roast dinners including roast rum of beef, slow roast shoulder of lamb, roast loin of pork, roast turkey breast, or vegetarian haggis. This is accompanied with roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding, seasonal greens, lemon and thyme roasted carrots, cauliflower cheese, and gravy. Stuffing can also be requested.
Speaking about the win on social media, the owners Kirsty and Annie said: "We were voted winners again. For the second time our fabulous customers made the effort to vote in number, and we received the Best Sunday Lunch accolade at the Observer Food Monthly awards.
