A BOTTLE of mermaid gin is on sale and it looks as magical as it tastes.
A bottle of the 42 per cent proof booze is covered in turquoise scales, reminding us of our favourite Disney princess, Ariel.Made and distilled on the Isle of Wight, the “refreshing and invigorating” spirit is the first gin to be made on the island. The website describes the drink as: "Mermaid Gin makes the perfect G&T; smooth and refreshing with a citrus zing, deep, rounded mouth feel, long finish and a hint of sea air.
"Mermaid gin is so smooth and enjoyable its seductive flavours can be enjoyed without drowning it in tonic." And it’s already a hit with fans, with one five-star review calling it the: “Best bottle on the market bar none.”Isle of Wight Mermaids Gin, Gin Kiosk, £39.95 –The creators boast the gin is made with only ten botanical ingredients, with flavours including lemon zest, peppery grains and rock samphire.
