Robert Ester uses Skype and his cell phone to stay connected with his two adult children.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ester lives on a fixed income in Downtown Cleveland.“Without the internet, I don’t have a cell phone, I don’t have a house phone, I don’t have my computer, I can’t use my tablet,” Ester said. “I can’t communicate with my kids.”According to the White House, the ACP has helped families save $30-75 per month on their internet bills.
Councilman Brian Kazy, the chair of the utilities committee, said by next June residents in Cleveland will have access to affordable internet, even if the ACP expires.
