An Independent Senator has taken Lidia Thorpe to task over her latest controversy where she was filmed in a heated expletive-filled confrontation with bystanders outside a Melbourne strip club.
Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie has urged Lidia Thorpe to start taking"responsibility for your own actions" following another controversy over the weekend.outside Maxine's Gentlemen's Club in north Melbourne around 3am on Sunday.
Senator Lambie appeared on Sky News Australia on Monday to talk about the Voice to Parliament when she was asked about her thoughts on the incident. "If you do not think you’re not in a good way, then go and do what the rest of us do and go and get some counselling or psychology," she added. She argued there was not much power to act given the Independent Senator had been voted in by the people of Victoria.
A friend can be seen attempting to pull Ms Thorpe back from the group twice, as she continued to yell obscenities before getting into a taxi.“Any black man that stands with the f***** white little c*** like that, youse can all get f***** too.After the incident, Ms Thorpe claimed she was provoked and that the men had targeted her and harassed her over her advocacy on Indigenous issues.
