MotoGP: Johann Zarco has claimed his first MotoGP victory in over 100 races after claiming the victory at Phillip Island with a dramatic overtake on the final lap.

Sensing an opportunity to land a blow of his own, Bagnaia appeared to make a thinly veiled critic of the Pramac rider after the race, contrasting his erratic performances with his own consistency.
“We are always here. We work a lot. It looks from the outside that we are struggling, but then in the race we are always in the front.While Bagnaia has committed his fair share of errors, with three grand prix DNFs to his name so far this season, every time he’s seen the chequered flag he’s finished on the podium, ensuring a steady flow of points.
“The decision for the rear tyre was quite clear. When I started the race and I saw the other guys were going very fast and opened the gap, I just thought maybe it’s too much and it would be better to be more calm, relax and push after many laps.Rubbing salt into Martin’s wounds, Bagnaia said he had timed his pass on his stricken rival to inflict maximum championship damage.
