Food storage experts have warned Britons they could be putting their health at risk by storing eggs in the fridge door - and also shared other handy tips to avoid waste
Britons could be unknowingly shortening the shelf life of their foods due to common storage mistakes.
Speaking on the matter, ETI's managing director, Jason Webb, highlighted a common error with egg storage in fridge doors which may lead to increased health risks and unnecessary wastage. Continuing, he cautioned that: "With this constant temperature disruption, eggs will rise in temperature away from the optimum four degrees Celsius, and if continuous, it can pose the risk of bacteria such as salmonella," a scenario that is also applicable to milk.
