'You shot my son!': Horror on residential street as 16-year-old rushed to hospital after being blasted in the chest
Terrified residents ran inside screaming after a teenage boy was blasted in the chest on a residential street in Stretford on Thursday afternoon .
One horrified eyewitness was out in their garden when they suddenly heard a gunshot, before reportedly hearing a woman screaming: "you shot my son". Another homeowner of neighbouring Marple Grove told the M.E.N: "Shortly after 4pm I heard what sounded like a gunshot, followed by shouting and screaming. A lady on the street screamed to her kids to get inside.
Detectives are urgently appealing for information and witnesses to come forward and have increased the number of patrols in the area as the investigation continues 'at pace'. Detective Inspector Matt Dixon from GMP Trafford district added: "I would like to reassure the local community that we have increased the number of patrol officers deployed to the area and we are working at pace to understand the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
