A Cardonald Primary School student's artwork has been chosen as the winning design for NHS 24's 2024 Christmas card.
A young artist from Cardonald Primary School has won NHS 24 's annual Christmas card competition. Clara Ferrie Rafferty clinched the top prize after children were tasked with capturing the theme 'I'm dreaming of Scottish Christmas' by illustrating an NHS worker outside a Scottish location at Christmas. Clara's entry featured snowy Kelpies in Grangemouth and was ultimately crowned the winner.
Her designs will be used as the NHS 24's official 2024 Christmas card, and she was also awarded an art case. Representatives from NHS 24, including Engagement Manager Mark Conway and Anne MacDougall, Chair of NHS 24’s Public Partnership Forum visited Cardonald Primary to personally congratulate Clara and present her with her prize. Mark said: 'The creativity and quality of all this year’s entries were exceptionally impressive. A huge thanks to all the children and schools who participated. 'It was a tough decision, but Clara’s design perfectly captured the theme of the competition. Congratulations to Clara and all our runners-up for their excellent work.” Runners-up for the festive competition included Emilia Spencer Walters, also from Cardonald Primary, Lucy Henderson from Hillington Primary, and Charles Patrick Boyce from Our Lady of the Rosary Primary. Each youngster received a set of colouring pens for their creative efforts
