The family of a young man who died trying to overtake a skip wagon has called for more intensive learning before motorcyclists are allowed on the road.
He was an usher at his parents' wedding in 2017 and was hugely loved by his adoring family. In August 2020, he completed his CBT and he bought his second Honda motorcycle in 2022. The subsequent collision caused him major trauma which the young man tragically could not survive. An investigation concluded that the van driver could do nothing to avoid the crash and would likely have had just 0.7 seconds to react between Curtis appearing and the point of collision.
He continued: "It's tragic that a man who was clearly forging a way in life could be taken away before achieving is potential."
