A young man has been shot soon after being involved in a road rage incident on a Melbourne street. While the exact details of the road rage are not known, it is understood to have involved the occupants of a white Nissan and a black Chery SUV on Lovely St, Fawkner at 5.15pm on February 29. No one was physically injured and the five men in the Nissan then travelled to Charles Mutton Reserve and stopped in the carpark.

footage shows four males with baseball bats then getting out of the Holden and chasing the Nissan occupants into the reserve. One of the males from the Holden produces a firearm and shoots in the direction of the men. A few minutes later, the men from the Nissan manage to lose their attackers and get back into their damaged vehicle and drive away — with a 19-year-old man from Clifton Hill who was shot in the upper body going to hospital for treatment.
