Yesterday, London took part in the GlobalClimateStikes, in anticipation for the UN emergency climate summit happening on 23rd September 2019. We spoke to some of the attendees, who warned us of the perils to come if we don’t act now.

- who left school to demonstrate for climate action outside of Swedish parliament in August 2018. This influenced a school climate strike movement - where young people started leaving school for a few hours to demand a change. As a result, 1.4 million children walked out of school around the world this past May.

Now, adults have been invited to join them in the fight today as well as the 27th of September for demonstrations in over 150 countries. Millions will be walking out of work and school to demand justice and political action, protest for an end to fossil fuels, and raise awareness on the climate emergency.According to the Global Climate Strike website: “Our house is on fire. The climate crisis is an emergency but we’re not acting like it.

LOVE went to one of the strikes happening in London at Millbrook in Westwinster to speak to young people about the protests. Watch the video above to hear what they have to say.
