A mother criticizes Lancashire County Council for failing to provide suitable education and support for her 21-year-old son with autism, epilepsy, and blindness.

The mother of a 21-year-old with additional needs says young people are being failed by Lancashire County Council when they transition to adulthood.

But as Connor reached leaving age, in 2019 Laura says a review meeting was set up to arrange the next steps for him. "It was excuse after excuse", she said. "No-one came to the review meeting, then school set up a review over Teams. It was just me, Connor and the school." "It makes me angry being ignored for two years", she said. "There seems to be long term sickness or people on holiday, while my child is at home and out of education. Most of my time is taken up caring for Connor or fighting for him. There are so many children lost in the system.
