Indiana Totty was viciously attacked on a bus after a night out
A talented young footballer’s dreams of playing professionally and joining the army have been ruined by a drunk mum-of-three who launched a bottle attack on her. Indiana Totty also had to spend an extra year studying part-time to finish her degree at Nottingham Trent University due to the long-term impact of the injury inflicted on her by Amanda Ross.
“I have absolutely no doubt she would have had a terrific career in football and a career she would have been proud of in the army. You have robbed her of that because of your behaviour. The prosecutor said the friends moved to the upper deck and were followed by the defendant who started calling Ms Totty names, sat in the seat in front of them and then threw the vodka bottle which “bounced off her head”. Mr Ewing said: “She felt immense pain and felt liquid pouring down her face.
Miss Totty, a former army reservist, read her own victim impact statement to the court. In it she said: “I always wanted to join the army but this is no longer an option because of the effects of the injury as exercise triggers the symptoms.
