McClean had planned to make an Atlantic crossing in the boat more than 30 years ago.John Dewar, from Kilmaurs, said: "I caught myself in this Brocken spectre while photographing Garbh Bheinn from the Aonach Eagach ridge in Glen Coe.
Debbie Neilson celebrated her 50th with a holiday in the west Highlands. She said: "This is still my favourite view of Plockton after many years of visiting."Eileen Tisdall said of her picture: "Last week we took geography students from the University of Stirling on a field trip to the north west Highlands. I took this photo of the students on Balnakeil Beach as they got ready to do some beach surveys in the glorious sunshine.
Alistair Murphy was on a walk along the front at Cramond, Edinburgh. He said that like most of the east coast that day it was shrouded in mist while the west basked in sunshine. Alistair added: "I believe the 'road to nowhere' leads to Cramond Island but on a day like this it could lead anywhere."Neil McAllister made a trip to Hirta in St Kilda.
